Bachata is a partner dance from the Dominican Republic, born in the 1960s. As a social dance it's open to people with no prior experience — we teach you to lead and follow so you can share a dance with bachata dancers anywhere in the world.
From your very first class you'll fill your social, creative, mental and fitness cup without even realising it.

Our emphasis is on teaching you to be a social dancer — someone who can dance with anyone, regardless of their level, because you both understand the same common language.
That's why we teach follows and leads properly. In bachata, both people carry a responsibility in the dance: to keep each other safe, and to make it fun. Learn the language, and the whole floor opens up to you — in Perth, or any city in the world.

Our Beginners classes are built with adult beginners in mind. Maybe you danced years ago, or maybe it's your very first time — but regardless, we know you've got experience in plenty of other areas of life.
We teach in a way that makes every step approachable and understandable. We're not afraid of a weird analogy or an unusual drill if it helps you learn — because the alternative, assuming you can't do something, isn't an option for us.
